The Millersville Fire Department is
comprised of a volunteer team of firefighters, first responders,
and rescue squads, headed by a full time Fire Chief.
The Department continually
trains all personnel on the latest fire and rescue techniques.
Equipment and personnel are dispatched from
Fire Station One at City Hall and from Fire Station Two on
Bethel Road.
The Insurance Services
Organization has given the Millersville volunteer Fire
Department a Class 6 Rating. This rating has enabled
Millersville residents to achieve very significant savings on
their fire insurance premiums.
The Fire Chief issues burn
permits as required by Open Burn Ordinance (00-361).
A burn permit is valid for up to 12 burns per year and all
permits expire on December 31st of each year. To obtain a
permit, or to renew an expired permit, contact the Fire Chief or
see the dispatcher on duty at City Hall.
